Michael Koskela

Michael Leonard Koskela, 50, died in a car accident Jan. 27, 2013. He was born in Libby. He became a licensed pilot at age 17.

Mike enlisted in the Air Force and served 23 years, retiring as a master sergeant. He worked as metals technician and was selected to aid in the manufacturing of the Skunkworks F-117A Stealth Fighter.

He married Margaret Colonel.

He is survived by his son Kyle Koskela and wife Katie; parents Leonard and Shirley Koskela, of Columbia Falls; sisters Lynn Koskela, of Olympia, Wash., and Betty Reiss and husband Jay, of Spokane; brother Jeff Koskela and wife Lisa, of Libby; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A memorial service took place at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home on Feb. 2, 2013, with Pastor Tim Bartholomew officiating.
