Communication technology makes motivations public

With all the modern communication technology now available to everyone alike, it is harder and harder for any person, any group, any government to hide their activities, their identities, their good or bad actions, and their true motivations.

This, of course, can cause much anger, frustration, allegations of breaking the law, and all sorts of discussions about free speech, protecting our privacy, and adhering to our Constitution.

I see this as a very good thing. Why? Because suddenly motivations and actions are made public. Do we live by guidelines of fairness, honesty, unselfish objectives, legality, and a code of compassion or by guidelines of cover-ups, dishonesty, abusive behavior, greedy and selfish motives, illegality, and a code of repression?

The evidences of this are so numerous these days, so widespread, and so cleverly made public that we cannot ignore them.

How this will all play out is yet to be seen, of course. I am simply expressing my view in what I consider to be the healthy aspects of this very confusing and disturbing-to-many phenomenon.
