Police calls: Boyfriend goes irate on Christmas Eve

Monday, Dec. 23

2:17 p.m. A Kalispell Avenue resident was upset about a snow berm blocking his driveway.

6:39 p.m. A resident on West 2nd Street said she was putting food out for the birds when a man with a dog came into her yard and threw the bread and cookies at her house. The dog also ate some of the food. Police advised the man to stay off the property.

Tuesday, Dec. 24

2:58 a.m. Report of a loud party on Spokane Avenue that smelled like cocaine.

5:59 p.m. An intoxicated man on his way to Libby was standing in the middle of Central Avenue. Police dropped him off at the train station. Half an hour later he reportedly defecated in the lobby of the train station.

9:12 p.m. An intoxicated boyfriend threw a lamp, punched a wall and was yelling at everyone at a home on Crestwood Drive. He was mad that his girlfriend’s mother was spending Christmas with them.

9:52 p.m. Report of fireworks on State Park Road.

Wednesday, Dec. 25

12:20 a.m. An intoxicated man at the train depot was heard saying “I’ll kill you” to no one in particular. He seemed to be talking to himself. He told police was going to get a cup of coffee and leave in the morning, but he ended up passed out and missed the 6 a.m. train.

9:55 p.m. Report of an intoxicated man stumbling through the snow on Skyles Place. Police gave him a ride home.

Thursday, Dec. 26

12:23 p.m. Report of a deer caught in a fence off Colorado Avenue. The reporting caller had kids at the house for the holidays and didn’t want them to see the struggling deer. The food bank was notified.

6:10 p.m. A teenage girl was arrested for shoplifting on Central Avenue.

7:34 a.m. A Canadian couple reported a stolen purse that contained all of their documentation.

Friday, Dec. 27

12:05 a.m. A man said he was punched and knocked out at a bar on Central Avenue by a man who was being rowdy. The man said he was then chased by a group of men and beaten again. One man had a baton. He hid until the men left.

9:20 a.m. Report of a knocked over mailbox on West 5th Street.

10:10 p.m. Report of fireworks near State Park Road.

Saturday, Dec. 28

2:31 a.m. Loud people and barking dogs were keeping the neighbors awake on Denver Avenue.

3:51 p.m. Report of a man who sneaked into a care facility. The man had been 86’d from the facility, but followed an employee through the locked doors.

11:49 p.m. A disorderly man with a service dog was asked to leave a downtown bar. He was being very obnoxious.

Sunday, Dec. 29

2:58 a.m. A driver for the Ride Guy said he was kicked in the head.

3:29 a.m. A young woman from Canada was reported missing. She was found a few hours later.

10:30 p.m. A small Chihuahua loose on Central Avenue barked at a man then ran away.
