Police calls: Police investigate fat cat burglar
Monday, Dec. 16
8:39 a.m. Report of prescription drugs stolen from a vehicle parked at the mall.
4:17 p.m. Report of a suspicious sedan parked at the mall with a door left wide open. Police contacted the vehicle owner who was on the hill skiing. They shut the door at his request.
5:27 p.m. Report of a woman caught shoplifting from a store at the mall.
Tuesday, Dec. 17
2:09 p.m. Police warned a man for soliciting on U.S. 93 South.
7:30 p.m. Report of shots heard on Cougar Trail.
Wednesday, Dec. 18
9:26 a.m. Report of theft on Colorado Avenue.
2:29 p.m. A resident on Shiloh Avenue suspected her neighbor of stealing her big orange and white cat. Police confronted the alleged cat burglar who said she hadn’t seen the cat in about a week.
9:03 p.m. Wisconsin Avenue was a solid sheet of ice near Haskill Drive.
10:25 p.m. A deer fell through ice on a pond off U.S. 93 South. It was able to swim to safety.
Thursday, Dec. 19
8:32 a.m. Report of a pickup stolen from Depot Street. The keys were left in the ashtray.
3:33 p.m. Report of a woman who was caught shoplifting from a store downtown. She left the store forcefully after an employee asked to look inside her bag. She was last seen getting into an older Suburban. One store employee was scratched, but didn’t need medical attention.
11:50 p.m. A woman was concerned about her husband after he left the house with no shoes, shirt or a coat. They were eventually able to get him to come home.
Friday, Dec. 20
12:05 a.m. Report of two men fighting on Central Avenue. One man had the other down on the sidewalk.
10:50 a.m. Report of a hit-and-run on Central Avenue.
11:05 a.m. Report of harassment on Kalispell Avenue. Two women were being called extremely profane names by a neighbor.
1:40 p.m. A woman and her husband reportedly stole hot deli food from a business on U.S. 93 South.
2:44 p.m. Part of a snowplow blade was in the middle of U.S. 93 South.
Saturday, Dec. 21
4:04 a.m. A couple was heard arguing in their parked car on East 1st Street.
8:46 a.m. A woman was concerned about her young daughter who went to a friend’s house and didn’t return home.
10:25 a.m. Police were asked to remove an intoxicated man who wouldn’t move out of the way so the train could depart.
Sunday, Dec. 22
1:09 a.m. Report of a man downtown driving drunk who also sells drugs.
4:30 a.m. Report of a man threatening to kill another man on West 2nd Street. The two were separated for the night.
8:20 a.m. A Kalispell Avenue resident reported a series of small crimes in the neighborhood such as a stolen snow shovel and punctured tires.
9:26 a.m. A woman told police she may have been drugged while at a bar the previous night. She reportedly blacked out after a couple of drinks.
Monday, Dec. 23
5:57 a.m. An intoxicated man broke out a window at his girlfriend’s house on Minnesota Avenue.
