MatCats bury Bulldogs 81-0

The Columbia Falls MatCats flexed their strength as the wrestling team to beat in the Northwestern A with a dominate win over Whitefish on Friday night.

The Bulldogs were pinned seven times as the Wildcats posted an 81-0 victory at Columbia Falls.

Whitefish’s Judah Prestegaard showed that he’ll be a force as the season progresses. The junior narrowly lost in a 2-0 decision to Columbia Falls senior Zayne Brunz.

Whitefish traveled to Polson on Saturday for the Owen Polson Invitational.

James Buckely took fourth in the 113-pound class.

The Bulldogs posted 15 points to finish 14th out of 14 teams. Class AA Missoula Sentinel won the tourney, while Columbia Falls finished in second.
