Phyllis Darling

Phyllis Taylor Darling, 81, passed away March 18, 2013, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 28, 1931, in McCall, Idaho, to Phillip and Lilly (Hansen) Richards. She grew up in the Eureka area and attended high school in old Rexford, where she met and married Carl Anderson in 1949. They were blessed with two daughters and three sons before divorcing in 1962.

After moving to Columbia Falls, she met and married Larry Myers in 1964. The couple lived near Deer Park School, having one daughter before divorcing in 1983.

During the next half dozen years, Phyllis joined her mother in operating the Mud Hut, a ceramics shop in Columbia Falls.

She married David Taylor in 1990. The summer after David passed in 2000, Phyllis was attending a class reunion in Rexford when she reconnected with high school friend Allen Darling. They were married a year later.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Allen; daughter Carlila and Ric Hughes, of Cheney, Wash.; son Carl and Roleen Anderson, of Kalispell; daughter Terrie and Dan Blomquist, of Kalispell; son Gary and Tana Anderson, of Columbia Falls; son Lee Anderson and fiancée Brenda Ellis, of Kalispell; daughter Sandra Myers, of Kalispell; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Deer Park School with pastor Ken Ainsworth of Canyon Community Church of Coram.
