Grad party

Columbia Falls High School seniors are reminded to turn in their permission slips for the Class of 2013 graduation party by April 20. Forms can be found in the office, on the high school Web site or by calling 892-1162 to have one e-mailed. Coldstone Creamery in Kalispell has offered to donate 15 percent of profits made at their store on Wednesday, May 1, from 5 to 10 p.m. to help fund the party. The next parent organizing meeting will take place Wednesday, May 8, at 7 p.m. in the high school foyer. For more information, call Kathy Price at 253-3775.

Chiropractic degrees

Columbia Falls residents Stacy Livingston and Kali Gillen recently completed their chiropractic degrees at Palmer College of Chiropractic, in Davenport, Iowa. Both intend to start a chiropractic clinic in Kalispell.

Student music

The Kalispell Area Music Teachers Association will present its free student showcase recital at the First Presbyterian Church of Kalispell, 540 South Main Street, on Sunday, April 14, at 3 p.m. Donations will be accepted to benefit the KAMTA Scholarship Fund. KAMTA, begun in 1977, is an organization of music educators throughout the Flathead Valley who meet regularly in order to provide mutual professional support for each other and to promote music through their various programs and activities.

Book sale

The Kalispell branch of the American Association of University Women has set up donation barrels for good quality used books at Smith’s Foods in Columbia Falls for their annual book sale at the Kalispell Center Mall on April 12, 13 and 14. Proceeds will benefit Flathead Valley Community College scholarships and other charitable projects. For more information, call Karen at 758-4745 or Barb at 249-2196.

Kids outdoors

The Ravenwood Outdoor Learning Center will hold a free day camp for old and new campers alike from 6-12 years old at the F.H. Stoltze Land & Lumber Co. expo site at Tamarack Lane and Trumbull Canyon Road on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Preregister by visiting online at www.ravenwoodolc.org.

Outdoor youth

The Montana Conservation Corps is looking for teens 15-17 years old to participate in their Youth Service Expedition program this summer. Two sessions of outdoor adventure and volunteer service will take place in the National Bison Range, southeastern Montana and the Rocky Mountain Front.
