William Heis

William Albert Heis passed away Sept. 15, 2012, in Kalispell. He was born Aug. 11, 1936, in Hamilton, Ohio. After attending schools there, Bill served in the U.S. Air Force.

He married Bernice E. Robinson-DeLeary in 1957 and returned to Oxford, Ohio, where he was a barber. In 1973, they moved to Columbia Falls, where Bill was a broker and owner of Columbia Falls Real Estate.

He married Wendy Quinn Triepke in 1992. Bill enjoyed cooking, gardening and playing pool at the Eagles Club in Kalispell. After he became disabled, he enjoyed watching movies on his big screen TV.

Bill is survived by his wife Wendy; children Michael W. Heis, Gerald B. Heis and Kathryn E. Heis; grandchildren Kenneth M. Stevenson, Jaymie K. Stevenson and Amy M. Heis; stepchildren Jack Triepke and wife Susan Erika, and Toni Modie and husband Troy and their children Desiree, Jaylin, Tyler, Matthew and Jillian Modie, and William Schafer; and brother Don Heis, in Ohio. Bill is also survived by his brothers-in-law Jerry and George DeLeary. He had a special relationship with them and his sister-in-law Sandra Jean DeLeary.

The family wanted to say thanks to their friends at Home Options Private Care for their special love, care and concern for Bill, and also to his doctors, Dr. Bennett Dykstra and Dr. Swanson.

A prayer service for Bill will be held at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home, 525 South Main St., in Kalispell, celebrated by Fred Topp, on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m.
