If you live in Senate District 2 and are wondering how to cast your vote for effective, honest leadership, please consider Dave Fern.

In the seven years we’ve served on the school board together, I’ve come to appreciate the traits that characterize Dave’s leadership.

Dave is a diligent researcher, identifying central issues and compiling and sharing information that enlightens our decisions. He inspires others to take the same thoughtful approach. He raises the standard for participation at the board level by posing thoughtful discussion questions based on the research he has shared, and by expecting his fellow board members to show up ready to be engaged in the business at hand.

When Dave attends state and regional conferences, he comes across as a courageously deep thinker. He is not intimidated by large and diverse gatherings, and will thoughtfully frame and pursue probing questions designed to arrive at viable solutions.

Dave understands complex finance issues, having dealt with school finance, as well as his own private business venture. We can always count on him to ask the questions which provide insights to our budget situation. He would bring the knowledge necessary to tackle government funding woes, and make a positive impact statewide.

Dave Fern makes sure he’s accessible, and listens carefully to his constituency. In this campaign, his diligent work ethic has already brought him to thousands of doors in Senate District 2, and he will listen and respond to your questions and observations in a thoughtful, non-partisan manner.

Dave’s enthusiasm for his work is infectious, and raises the collective standard of any group he’s part of. In our search for outstanding leadership for our State Senate, I can think of no one better suited to represent us intelligently, tirelessly, collaboratively and fairly than Dave Fern.
