Election office now set up at fairgrounds

The Flathead County Election Department will operate out of the Country Fair Kitchen at the Flathead County Fairgrounds through election day, Nov. 6. Flathead County residents will be able to register to vote in person there.

Absentee voting, including mailing absentee ballots and voting in-person, will run from Oct. 9 through Nov. 5. Voters wishing to absentee vote in person will only be able to do so at the Country Fair Kitchen. Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The deadline for absentee voting is noon on Nov. 5. Late registrants who submit an application after the deadline will have to return to the Country Fair Kitchen on election day to receive an absentee ballot. Requests for absentee ballot applications are available at the Flathead County Court House, the Country Fair Kitchen or online at www.flathead.mt.gov/election.
