Breakdowns need to take place before changes and healing can occur

There is a line in the book “The Da Vinci Code” in the first few pages of chapter 20 which goes like this: “The chaos of the world has an underlying order.”

This is a most profound and appropriate truth, I believe. And it is one which we could all benefit from thinking seriously about in this world’s present chaotic state.

To me, it is saying this: There is an underlying divine order, and while it may manifest in its inevitable march to manifestation in forms which appear like anything but “divine order,” things are definitely unfolding and happening with an underlying order.

Breakdowns very often need to take place before changes take place and the healing process can occur.

This is true in medical situations, in physical infrastructures, in businesses, and surely in the realm of personal relationships. We see it all the time in both our personal and collective lives.

Our nation and our world are presently in the midst of the most cancerous type of chaos, pitting nations against nations, people against people, the breakdown of financial stability, the breakdown of social structures, and most serious of all, the breakdown of political leadership built upon integrity, compassion, truth and justice. And every nation is feeling the burden of this chaos.

So, what is the underlying order referred to in “The Da Vinci Code?”

To me it is the divine order of creation which will be the ultimate outcome of the earth-life regardless of how far into the abyss of greed, fear and anger that the human race chooses to fall before a change of mind aligning with this divine order, with a change of purpose, a change of heart within each of us begins to emerge to the level of dominance in the world of personal relationships, politics, international diplomacy, and, in short, all aspects of our lives.

It is up to each of us, as I see it.
