Lieser will be an asset

As a longtime teacher in Whitefish I was constantly trying to find ways to make learning more meaningful to my students. I found this to be true with most teachers.

I remember one year when a group of us go together to try to find a way to inspire kids by giving them a chance to do some real world science and math in an outdoor setting. To do this we decided to use the Forest Service mandate of “multiple use.” It was a huge success in getting students together with many professional people who work in that government agency.

One of those professional foresters was Ed Lieser.

We contacted Ed and described our plan. He immediately and enthusiastically volunteered his time to help our group. For many years before my retirement Ed was tireless in his efforts to recruit wildlife biologists, fisheries biologists, and others to help with this project.

Ed willingly came into our classrooms each year to help with concepts the students would be actively working on in the field. After completing this project many of our students were excited enough to further explore the world of science and math as professionals. As an educator what more can we hope for?

Ed Lieser is an asset to northwest Montana as a professional forester, as a longtime contributing member of our community, someone who cares about quality education, as one who cares about our state’s future, and is a common sense man.

He will represent all of us well in the next state legislature. Therefore, I strongly recommend you vote for Ed Lieser for House District 4.
