Kirk Giroux

Kirk Douglas Giroux, 60, died after a long battle with cancer on Sept. 27, 2012, at his home in Coram.

He was born Dec. 19, 1951, in Brown City, Mich., the son of Elthon and Ruth Marie (Ledford) Giroux.

Kirk worked as a carpenter, bartender and in masonry. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and making sausage and other smoked foods.

He is survived by his wife Sandra (Hermes) Giroux, of Coram; mother Ruth Giroux, of Whitefish; brother James Giroux, of Parker, Colo.; and sisters Lynne Younge, of Edmond, Okla., Luanne Vorobey, of Port Huron, Mich., and Lucinda Starkey, of Englewood, Colo.

A memorial service will be held at Canyon Community Church, in Coram, on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at 11 a.m.

The family asks that donations be made to Wings in lieu of flowers.
