Trapper education set for Dec. 7 and 8

Registration is open for a trapper education course in northwest Montana, which will be held Dec. 7 and 8. This is a general trapper education class conducted by Montana Fur Harvesters instructors and is not required of trappers but it is strongly recommend.

In the course, Montana Trapper Education, instructors will emphasize trapper ethics, regulations, trapping heritage, and trap sets. Instructors will show actual trap sets and techniques with special attention to avoiding non-target species

This is not a wolf trapper certification class.

The class will be held at Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Headquarters, 490 North Meridian Road in Kalispell on Dec. 7 from 6-9 p.m. The following day, it will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Flathead Valley Clay Target Club north of Kalispell.
