Partisan talk

It has been years since I’ve written to the editor on political issues and concerns. I must say I’ve had to restrain myself numerous times, but after reading an obscure article about Schweitzer telling the state attorney general-elect Tim Fox not to be too partisan, I had to respond.

You’ve got to be kidding me, especially coming from the most flamboyant, partisan, narcissistic governor this state has ever had. Schweitzer stated in the article that “the best political friends give the worst political advice,” which makes me think he had some amazingly poor “political friends.”

As a talented self-promoter, Schweitzer’ partisanship was an embarrassment to this state on more than one occasion. He ruthlessly attacked Republican lawmakers in our state and on the national level. While the media loves this narcissistic self promoter I have been in meetings with the governor where he blatantly showed his partisan attitude towards anyone that had an opinion other than his own.

I know Tim Fox as a strong, moral and ethical man who will make a wonderful attorney general, and in the article it stated that Mr. Fox had been gathering advice from current and past office holders, another example of what a good office holder he will be.

Mr. Fox also said he hopes to be a statesman, which is a noble and just cause for any politician willing to serve his state. It would have been nice if the outgoing attorney general and governor would have had the desire to be statesmen, but unfortunately their reputations will not be as statesmen but extremely liberal partisan politicians.
