Night of Lights, Brunch with Santa coming up

The annual Night of Lights parade in Columbia Falls will be handled this year by the Columbia Falls Rotary Club.

The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7. Entrants should line up at 5 p.m. at the end of Nucleus Avenue. Karl Skindingsrude of Special K Productions will emcee the parade.

Parade registration forms are available at NAPA, Glacier Bank, Dr. Roger Newman’s dental office, the City of Columbia Falls bulletin board and the city library. Interested parties can also call Bill Shaw at 892-0318.

Craft vendors will set up at the Teakettle Community Hall, 235 Nucleus Avenue, starting at 5 p.m. Interested vendors should call Cindy Shaw at 892-0318 or visit online at www.columbiafallschamber.com for online registration forms.

The North Valley Senior Center will host a craft fair Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and a soup supper from 4 to 8 p.m. The Children’s Holiday Village, complete with new displays, will be lit that evening in Marantette Park.

After the parade, Santa will meet families at the North Valley Avalanche Room (formerly the Moving Image) on Nucleus Avenue.

On Saturday, Dec 8, the Rotary Club will hold its annual brunch with Santa from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Timber Creek Village Assisted Living Center on Meadow Lake Boulevard.

There will be a silent auction, music and food. Children will get free photos with Santa Claus. Tickets will be available at the door. Cost is $10 adults and free for children under 12. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
