Lieser anxious to 'put the pen to paper'

The voters of the House District 4 have spoken. I’ve said repeatedly throughout this election cycle that it would be an honor to serve this community. I accept this honor, your trust and the responsibility that comes with the position.

The past eight months has been enlightening at many levels. It’s reinforced my fondness for this wonderful community. I’ve met a lot of new folks and discovered the issues that affect them. I’ve rekindled my relationship with friends and neighbors and come to know them on a more political level. It is these relationships and the sum of our discussions that will help guide me through the upcoming legislative session.

In addition to the information I received from residents, I will reiterate the values that will influence my decisions. I have a strong sense of family values as well as personal and fiscal responsibility. My land ethic will direct judgments on natural resource management, acknowledging the inherent value of those resources while sustaining them for future generations. Maintaining a strong public school system that prepares our youth to be competitive in a global environment is a high priority.

I renew my pledge to work with my colleagues in the legislature to achieve what is in the best interest of Whitefish and Montana. Furthermore, I represent every resident of Whitefish, whether you voted for me or not. I believe legislators can accomplish much if we focus on the best interest of our constituents and leave our personal ideology at home.

The time has come to take all the rhetoric from the campaign and put the pen to paper, trying to make these concepts come to fruition.

To ensure I am working effectively on your behalf I ask for your help. Please contact me anytime either by email, liesered@yahoo.com or phone 471-2082. Let me know your thoughts and ideas. I will develop an email list consisting of anyone interested getting periodic messages and updates.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who helped make this campaign a success, and there were many. The support and encouragement was and continues to be overwhelming. Whitefish, you’re the best. Help me help you.
