Cat-Dog Smoker

The Glacier Twins will host the annual Cat-Dog Smoker at Memorial Park, in Whitefish, on Monday, June 4, beginning at 7 p.m. The boxing event pits high school boys and girls from Whitefish against Columbia Falls with 12 to 15 bouts of three one-minute rounds. General admission tickets are $10, ringside tickets are $20. The event is a fundraiser for the Glacier Twins American Legion Baseball program. Sports physicals

Physicals for athletes in Columbia Falls are scheduled for May 30 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the high school. Cost is $20. The physicals are good through the 2012-2013 sports season.

Junior golf

The Flathead Valley Junior Golf Tour will celebrate its 25th year in 2012 with seven events on seven courses in the valley. The first event will kick off at Meadow Lake Golf Club on Tuesday, June 12. The tournament typically attracts about 40 to 50 male and female junor golfers from 11 to 17 years old. The 11th annual championship will be played at Eagle Bend Golf Club, in Bigfork, on Aug. 11.
