Paul Haag

Paul Gerhard Haag, 84, passed away of natural causes on May 13, 2012, at the Montana Veterans Home.

He was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Dillon, the son of Christian and Caroline (Albrecht) Haag. He was raised in the Kalispell area and attended Flathead County High School.

Paul served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952 to 1953 and was a sharpshooter. In 1953, he married Patricia Mufford in Kalispell.

Paul worked for F.H. Stoltze Land & Lumber Co. for 20 years as a debarker, then turned to farming which he worked at for 55 years. He was a member of the Farmers Union, and was a school board member.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of Columbia Falls; daughters Linda Davis and Pamela Miciewicz, of Kalispell; brother Leo Haag, of Sequim, Wash.; and grandchildren Caroline, Joseph, Jeffrey, Michael and Jaimie.

A celebration of life took place May 18, 2012, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Burial followed at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
