Perfect attendance

The following students were recognized for perfect attendance at Glacier Gateway Elementary School for the 2011-2012 school year: Aiden Rohn, first grade; Makayla Sevesind, second grade; Luke Lamb, third grade; and Jayden Nelson, third grade.

Student employee of the year

Bethany Hascall, of Columbia Falls, was recently named the Outstanding Student Employee of the Year by the Washington State Associate of Student Employment Administrators. Hascall, a senior at Northwest University, in Kirkland, Wash., will complete her music education degree in December. Hascall also works as the university’s music librarian and assistant for the music department.

MSU scholarship

Austin Robbins, of Columbia Falls, a senior in Montana State University’s College of Education, Health and Human Development, in Bozeman, recently received a Kappa Delta Phi scholarship. Robbins is majoring in general science broadfield education.

UM dean’s list

The following University of Montana-Missoula students were named to the spring semester 2012 dean’s list. Two asterisks indicate a grade-point average of 4.0. A single asterisk indicates a GPA of greater than 3.5 but less than 4.0. MSU dean’s list

Montana State University-Bozeman has announced its undergraduate honor rolls for spring semester 2012. Students with an asterisk had a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester and were named to the President’s Honor Roll. FVCC scholarship

Joy Pattengale, of Columbia Falls, a student at Flathead Valley Community College, is a summer 2012 recipients of the Community Pride Scholarship sponsored by Whitefish Credit Union. She is pursuing studies toward her career goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. In their 17th year, the scholarships total $1,600.
