Todd Dale Bilant

Todd Dale (Pettit) Bilant passed away May 3 in Arkansas surrounded by his children. He was born Oct. 29, 1957 to Dale Henry Pettit and Joan Marie Stanton in Mountain Home, Idaho. Todd was adopted Sept. 13, 1967 by Martha Bilant.

He attended Whitefish schools and graduated from Whitefish High School in 1976. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy right out of high school. Todd married Patricia Holt from Arkansas and had two children, Jonathan and Jessica.

Todd was preceded in death by his grandfather, Henry Pettit; father, Dale Pettit; adopted grandmother, Martha Bilant Irmen; and a cousin, Darrell Frey.

He is survived by his children, Jonathan Bilant, of Arkansas; and Jessica Bilant and her daughter Sophia. Sister, Vonnie Bilant, of Colorado, and her children, Luke Ulmer and Paige Ulmer, also of Colorado. Sister, Sandra Bilant Mauro and husband Tony of Whitefish, and their children Melanie (Mauro) Burns and husband Ben of Missoula, and son Victor Mauro of Whitefish and Missoula. Aunt Arlene Howke and cousins.

Cremation has taken place in Arkansas and ashes to be spread over the Pacific Ocean.
