Friday hikes in Glacier Park slated

The Glacier National Park Fund will host hikes in Glacier National Park on Fridays through the summer. The goal is to share Park accomplishments supported by GNPF donors, talk about upcoming events or activities and to experience the grandeur of Glacier Park. June 22 — Huckleberry Lookout, 12 miles, 2,725 ft. gain

June 29 — Scalplock Lookout, 9.4 miles, 3,079 ft. gain

July 13 — Preston Park, 6 miles, 1,000 ft. approx.

July 20 — Red Eagle Lake/ Silver Dollar Beach, 15.2 miles, 200 ft. gain

July 27 — Piegan Pass, 9 miles, 1,670 ft. gain

Aug. 3 — Dawson-Pitamakan, 18.8 miles (15 with boat), 2,935 ft. gain

Aug. 10 — Avalanche Lake, 4.6 miles, 505 ft. gain

Aug. 17 — Cobalt Lake, 11.4 miles, 1,400 ft. gain

Aug. 31 — Highline Trail to Haystack Butte, 6.8 miles, 800 ft. gain

Sept. 14 — Firebrand Pass, 9.6 miles, 2,210 ft. gain

Sept. 21 — Cracker Lake, 12 miles, 1,120 ft. gain.
