Softball pitching clinic here Aug. 8

The Columbia Falls Youth Softball Association will host pitching instructor Myndie Berka at the high school softball fields on Aug. 8 from 9 to 3 p.m. The clinic will feature all aspects of the art of softball pitching and is designed for girls from sixth through 12th grades.

Berka is the owner and pitching instructor of BreakThrew Fastpitch. She has taught hundreds of girls since she started training pitchers in 1996.

Some of her past students have won youth National Championships including ASA Gold Nationals, held state strikeout records in Iowa and Missouri, won high school state championships, competed for NCAA National Championships, were collegiate All-Americans and have played in the National Pro Fastpitch league.

Berka has worked closely with many top coaches and athletes in the game, including over five years with world-renowned pitching coach Cheri Kempf. For more information visit online at www.breakthrewfastpitch.com.

Make checks payable to CFHS Softball. Pre-registration is due by Aug. 6, but interested girls can also register the day of the clinic.
