The Columbia Mountain Theater Company will perform its first production, “Shakespeare Makes a Scene,” at the Teakettle Community Center on Nucleus Avenue through the second half of July and into August.

This original show is the creation of Jeremias Johnson and Sally McBride and incorporates the works of William Shakespeare. They describe their work as “a fun and enlightening romp through some of his best scenes, woven together with some surprising twists.”

The two-person show will “take the audience on an entertaining journey of ‘he said-she said’ and explores several of the sometimes witty, sometimes tumultuous and very often tragic relationships of some of the men and women of Shakespeare.”

Performances will take place at 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, July 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 and Aug. 3 and 4. Tickets are $7 at the door (cash and checks only).
