Boys win Shelby swim meet

The Columbia Falls boys swim team took first place at the Shelby meet June 30-July 1.

Colton Babcock was the high-point leader for the boys 11-12 age group. His brother Cooper was third in the 9-10 age group. Tyler Langton continues to swim well and tied Cooper for third in the same age group.

Colton won the 50 freestyle, the 50 backstroke and the 50 butterfly. Zayne Friar won the 11-12 50 freestyle. Logan Stephens took first place in the 11-12 intermediate medley and the 50 breaststroke.

James Role also had a great meet, tying for fifth for the 9-10 age-group point standings.

In the older age classes, Henry Chisholm was fourth in points for the 13-14 age bracket.

The girls team took 10th overall.

The team travels to Chester this weekend.
