Plum Creek was named the top corporate volunteer during the Salvation Army’s 2011 Christmas Kettle Campaign.

Plum Creek employees were paid their normal salary as they rang the bells this past Christmas season at Super 1 Foods in Columbia Falls for five weeks, every Wednesday through Friday.

The employees contributed more than 89 volunteer hours and generated more than $3,660 in donations.

This past year, the Salvation Army served more than 29,000 hot meals and provided gifts and food to more than 800 families with children that otherwise might have missed a joyful Christmas, along with a myriad of other services to people of all ages and needs.
