Liz Murdock and James Harding

Liz Murdock and James Harding were married Jan. 2 at the First Presbyterian Church of Whitefish. The ceremony was performed by Catherine Lasswell, friend of the bride's family.  A reception followed at the Whitefish Lake Golf Club Restaurant

The bride is the daughter of David and Sally Murdock of Whitefish. 

The bridegroom is the son of David and Pamela Harding of Dural, New South Wales, Australia.

Maid of honor was Emily Murdock of Boulder, Colo., sister of the bride.

The best man was Craig Harding of Dural, New South Wales, brother of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Lauren Beach of Whitefish; Barbara Sasken of Bellingham, Wash.; and Katherine Harding of London, twin sister of the groom.

Groomsmen were Shawn Lenzner of Whitefish; Stephen Barraclough of Vancouver, British Columbia; and Gishan Garth of New York City.

Junior bridesmaids were Madison and Audrey Toews of Evergreen, Colo., cousins of the bride.

The bride graduated from Whitefish High School in 2002 and the University of Montana in 2007 with a degree in history and secondary education.  After teaching history in Richey, Montana for two years, she is now an education coordinator for the Actuaries Institute in Sydney, Australia. 

The bridegroom graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney, in 2007 with a degree in business and economics.  He is a business development associate for the investment firm Ausbil Dexia Limited in Sydney.

The wedding couple is pleased to report that 27 Australians came from three continents for this Whitefish wedding and fell in love with the town and its people. The entire wedding party thanks Whitefish for its gracious hospitality.
