Gloria Austin

Gloria Rose Austin, 83, passed away Jan. 30, 2012, at Whitefish Care and Rehabilitation Center, in Whitefish.

Gloria was born March 4, 1928, in Great Falls to Arthur and Rosamond (Trinastich) Lund.

She was raised and educated in Great Falls. She worked at Electric City Conservatory as a florist. In 1948, she met and married Kenneth "Tody" Roll.

She late worked as a secretary for Hall-Perry Machinery and later at Great Falls National Bank. In 1975, she met and married John H. Austin and remained a Whitefish resident since that time. She assisted the operation of Austin Funeral Home in Whitefish until 1982, when she and John both retired.

Gloria always found time to maintain her skill as a talented florist and enjoyed gardening and doing hand crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John in 1999; son-in law Dennis Schoepp in 2009; her brother Dick Lund; and her sister and brother-in-law Connie and Ted Lund. She is survived by her daughter Kenria Schoepp, of Columbia Falls; her stepson Richard Austin, of Tulsa, Okla.; sister-in-law Kay Lund, of Kalispell; nephew Peter Lund, of Whitefish; and niece Jennifer Lund Higby, of Missoula. Interment to be held at a later date.
