Wolfpack sprint past Dogs

Whitefish didn’t have an answer for the top-rated Wolfpack’s offense last week as Glacier High rolled to a 65-29 nonconfernce victory at Kalispell.

Glacier dominated early using tough defense and scored at ease on fastbreaks. Even with 7-foot Gonzaga recruit Ryan Edwards on Glacier’s bench with an injured foot, there was no stopping the high-powered Class AA team.

Whitefish struggled to finish in the post and bury open jump shots. They shot just 28 pecent from the field and 11 percent from three-point land.

Sharpshooter Cooper Olson finally hit a trey in the waning minutes of the game as the Dogs went 1-for-9 beyond the arc. Olson finished with seven points on 2-9 shooting.

Keaton Nicholson led the team with nine points on 4-9 shooting from the field.

Whitefish next hosts Bigfork on Friday, Dec. 21 at 8 p.m.
