Lone Pine State Park trailhead’s parking lot off of Trillium Road is closed for the winter season. Due to the steep slope of the road and frequent ice build-up, it poses a safety risk to both visitors and park staff.

The main park entrance off of Lone Pine Road and the walk-in entrance off of Valley View Drive will remain open but there is a limited amount of parking along Valley View Drive.

Visitors are asked to respect neighbors by only parking in designated areas. The main park entrance at the end of Lone Pine Road has ample parking and provides direct access to the visitor center, scenic overlooks and the entire trail system. For more information on the park’s winter activities or facilities call 755-2706.

Lone Pine State Park is located five miles southwest of Kalispell and offers one of the most vivid views of the valley, seven and a half miles of trails, and an interpretive center that provides information on living in a wildlife urban interface.

Additional amenities include a picnic shelter and a community room, which are both available to rent, as well as a volleyball court, horseshoe pit, and an archery range. Lone Pine also offers a variety of educational and interpretive programs.
