Swap Meet lawsuit

| August 15, 2012 7:44 AM

I would like to say that I am so upset with the way the Swap Meet is being treated. Because of one neighbor’s complaints, this summer has been a complete bust for this event.

This is a place for the whole valley to get together and enjoy what could have been the biggest family happening for the summer. They have lost vendors and customers because of lies that have been told. The music has not been too loud. They have had the police there checking the sound level and found it to be under the legal limit for loudness, and the meet was only to play music until 11 p.m.

For some reason, this did not bother the Blue Moon, which has music and food, because they know that the people left will come to their place afterwards. This would have been a good draw for the complaining RV Park, too. Where else could people park and camp and have this kind of event right next door, good for the whole family?

Again, if you would like to see the Swap Meet keep going, please let them know and don’t listen to one person or group that seems to want to let the vendors and bands lose out on what could have been a great summer.
