Twelve-year-old Wyatt Green, of Columbia Falls, took first place in the Montana Miniature Bull Riding Finals held Sept. 10 in Ronan.

Green scored 65 points in the first round riding a bull named Tracker, leaving him in eighth place. He earned 76 points in the final round riding a bull named 21X. He took home $460, two buckles and a first-place trophy.

Green now sits in fourth place in the year-end standings, earning a spot on the Montana Team for the Northwest Miniature Bull Riding Finals to be held in Helena in November. The top-10 cowboys ages 9-14 from Montana, Idaho, Utah and Wyoming qualify for the Helena finals.
