A look at Wildcat football season by the numbers

With another Columbia Falls football season in the books, here's a look at some final stats:

• As a team, the Wildcats had 278 carries and rushed for 911 yards. They ranked fourth in the Northwest Class A conference.

• They were third in the conference in scoring with 17.5 points per game, but they gave up an average of 20.75 points per game.

• The Cats were worst in the conference for interceptions thrown with 11.

• They were second in the Northwest with interceptions by the defense, with eight.

• Quarterback Austin Barth threw for 1,153 yards and was 81 for 182 for a completion rate of 44.51 percent. He threw nine touchdowns.

• Running back Daniel Jones had 91 carries for 358 yards for an average of 3.93 yards per carry. He was ranked sixth in the conference.

• Josiah Osborne was sixth in the Northwest in receptions, with 11 catches for 267 yards and three touchdowns.

Polson, which won the conference, led in almost every category. Their defense allowed opponents a little more than 5 points per game., but they suffered the same fate as Columbia Falls did last year - they lost in the playoffs to Miles City, 7-6.
