Arva Taylor

Arva Dorothy Taylor entered into Eternal Rest on May 29, 2011. She was 93 years old.

She was born in Seattle, Wash., on Feb. 14, 1918, to Tyler and Gertrude (Willoughby) Phelps. She moved with her parents and younger sister to Detroit, Mich., where her father attended dental school. The family re-located to Missoula, where she grew up.

Arva graduated from the University of Minnesota, where she met Charles E. Taylor. They were married in Newton, Ohio, in 1941 and moved to Columbia Falls in 1954. At the time of his death in 1998, they had been married for 57 years. She was active in St. Matthew's and All Saints Episcopal churches and in P.E.O.

She is survived by her son Charles, of Killdeer, N.D.; daughter Diane, of Seattle, Wash.; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was deeply loved and will be missed.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, at noon at All Saints Episcopal Church, located at 2048 Conn Road, Columbia Falls, off Montana Highway 40, midway between Whitefish and Columbia Falls. The family asks that no flowers be brought.
