The Glacier Knights football team ended their Rocky Mountain Football League season 2-6 after losing to the Missoula Phoenix on Saturday 46-14.

The team, which has practiced in Evergreen and used the Columbia Falls High School football field for home games for the past eight years, hosted the game at Flathead High School's Legends Field in Kalispell for the first time.

Knights receiver Levi Walker had two touchdown receptions and close to 100 yards of receiving for the game. Running back Mike Kuehne returned to the team after he was knocked out of a May 21 game in Belgrade, and quarterback Phil Heimerl filled in for Jeff Greenwell, the Knights' quarterback for most of the season.

The Knights ended the season with the same record they had in 2010. The Phoenix, 5-3, will move on to the playoffs in the semi-professional football league.
