Steven DeYoung knocked a grand slam in

the second inning and finished with five RBI as Missoula dropped

the Glacier Twins in a AA Legion baseball league contest on June 10

at Memorial Park.

DeYoung’s two-out blast to center field

broke a scoreless tie.

Missoula pitcher Andrew Sopko held

Glacier to five hits.

“He’s one of the better arms in the

state,” Glacier coach Lindsay Fansler said.

“He was able to hold our bats

down.”

Jack Cronin finished 2-for-4 at the

plate for the Twins. Geoff Streeter, Cody Elek and Devyn Rocker had

one hit each.

On Saturday, the Twins were swept in

the doubleheader at Great Falls. The Chargers won an 11-8 shoot-out

in the opener then held the Twins scoreless for a 3-0 victory in

the nightcap.

Rocker, Cronin and Chris King each had

two hits in the opener. Kyler Blades tallied two RBIs.

Glacier travels to Spokane today and

plays in the Apple Valley Invite this weekend.
