Andrew T. 'Hoss' Overcash

Andrew T. “Hoss” Overcash, 46, passed

away on July 19, 2011 near his home in Whitefish.

“Cap’n Hoss”, the son of Marvin C.

Overcash and Elizabeth Townsend Overcash, grew up in Virginia Beach

and spent many years in the sport scuba diving industry as an

instructor, retailer and charter boat captain. He brought joy to

many and gave of himself tirelessly. He will be missed

greatly.

He is survived by brothers, Charles E.

Overcash, Michael E. Overcash and Stephen C. Overcash;

sister-in-law, Kimberly A. Overcash; niece, Elizabeth K. Overcash;

and nephews, Harrison M. Overcash and Stephen C. Overcash.

A celebration of Andrews’s life was

held on July 23 at Andrew’s home in Whitefish. In Lieu of flowers,

please make donations to the local humane society.
