White is new chief of staff

Dr. Elizabeth White became the 2011-2012 hospital chief of staff at North Valley Hospital beginning July 1.

She has been an active staff member at the hospital since 2005 and practices at North Valley Internal Medicine Clinic and is a member of the North Valley Hospital Hospitalist physician group. She succeeds Dr. Richard Friedman as chief of staff.

White received her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center.

She lived in Seattle for 25 years before moving to the Flathead Valley in 2004.
