Submit an obituary

Starting Feb. 1, the Bigfork Eagle has begun charging for obituaries printed in its newspaper.

Obituaries cost $25 for the first six inches and $5 per inch for each inch following and are paid prior to publication.

A picture is measured as part of the obituary and is normally an additional inch.

The cost can be estimated by counting the number of words and dividing by 33 to get the number of inches.

Death notices are still being offered for free for residents of Bigfork or someone with local survivors.
