Obituary: Ivan Halksworth

Ivan Halksworth died Oct. 15, 2010.

Ivan was born to Kate Eleanor and James

Forrest Mitchell in England on Oct. 18, 1924.

Ivan had an extended family both here

and abroad. He lived in Las Cruces, N.M., with his wife Marifrances

in retirement, enjoying his hobbies of painting, photography and

gardening.

Ivan was preceded in death by his

mother, Kate; father, James; and sisters, Joyce and Hazel.

He is survived by many who loved him

dearly and miss his beautiful presence and generous heart.

Survivors include his wife, Marifrances

of La Cruces (formerly of the Bigfork area); daughter, Cheryl, and

husband, Ken Rosean; granddaughter, Chelsea and Crystal of

Kalispell; a sister, Mary Trusler; a brother, Ray, and wife,

Eunice, and their children, Dawn and John, all of England.

La Paz Graham Funeral Home handled

cremation. Condolences may be sent to 066 Party Time Place, Las

Cruces, NM 88005. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the

society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
