Now that the final pass has been thrown, the final run made, the final block and tackle executed (or not) here’s a look at some of the more interesting statistics on the Columbia Falls football season:

• Runningback Nate Thompson rushed for 1,668 yards on 227 carries, had 12 touchdowns and averaged 7.35 yards a carry. Thompson’s mark shatters all previous school rushing records.

Several runners before Thompson had rushed for more than 1,100 yards, but none came close to his mark. Thompson also punted 36 times for 1,191 yards, an average of just over 33 yards a punt.

He also kicked off 29 times for 1,002 yards, for an average of 33 yards per kickoff.

• Dan Jones rushed for 186 yards on 26 carries and averaged 7.15 yards per carry. He also had three touchdowns.

• Quarterback Austin Barth threw 138 times and had 62 completions for 1,077 yards and 15 touchdowns.

• Devyn Rocker led the team in kickoff returns with nine returns for 360 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 40 yards a return.

• The team attempted no field goals.

• Kaleb Johnson led the team with five interceptions on defense. As a team, the Cats picked off opposing quarterbacks 11 times. The Cats allowed 190 points over nine games, or an average of 21 points per game. They also allowed, on average, 200 yards rushing per game and 109 yards passing per game.
