Deputies

To the handful of malcontent deputies at the Sheriff's Office, so you don't like your boss, huh? Well, your boss would be me, along with all the other Flathead County taxpayers who elected your supervisor — the Sheriff.

Here's a tip — no one cares. Either do the job you were hired to do or get out. If you don't believe you have one of the better jobs in Flathead County, you need to move on to the private sector and look for a job there. Because of your actions, we are the ones who have lost confidence in you.

Parents don't negotiate with their teenagers on how the household should be run, and neither will we the taxpayers negotiate with you. You are the second-highest paid deputies in the state of Montana, in a county with 13 percent unemployment and 7,000 residents out of work.

If you are truly that unhappy at your job, step aside so other qualified individuals can apply. If you can't be grateful for your job, you need to move on. The taxpayers have no tolerance for your dog and pony show.
