Six readers at Lakeside Elementary School earned bikes last week as part of the annual Bigfork Masonic Lodge Bikes for Books program.

First graders through sixth graders were eligible for the program. One student at each grade level received a bike. Students earned tickets based on the number of pages they read during the contest and those tickets were then entered in the drawing for the bikes. The winners will be taken to Walmart to pick out their new bikes.

Winners were: first grader Lexie Keller, second grader Haeli Sheppard, third grader Maddi Mercord, fourth grader Taya Pickering, fifth grader Griffin Fisher and sixth grader Kasey Zieker.

William Bass from the Bigfork Masonic Lodge made the presentation and helped draw the names of the winners.
