The summer concert series presented by the Columbia Falls Lions Club continues Thursday, July 1 (today) at 7 p.m. at Marantette Park.The Flathead Valley Community Band will perform “The Glacier Fantasy,” a tribute to the Glacier National Park Centennial.

Friday

The West Glacier Farmers Market is Fridays from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in West Glacier. The market runs through Sept. 3.

The Wildcat Athletic Endowment Fund Barbecue and Auction behind the Columbia Bar is Friday, July 23. The event features live and silent auctions. A mouth-watering dinner is served starting at 5 p.m. and the auction begins at 6 p.m. The auction features live and silent items including a Griz/Cat football weekend, dinner for eight at George and Sue Schmidt’s barbecue and autographed sports memorabilia.

The the official unveiling of the Joe Cosley exhibit is Friday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Glacier Discovery Square. Legendary Glacier National Park Ranger Joe Cosley is the focus of the display which features one of his original pistols, two of his large sketches, carvings he made in Glacier’s aspens and his saddle. The Cosley camp opens at 7:30 p.m. at Whitefish Credit Union Park. The camp features a re-enactment of how early settlers coped with life in Northwest Montana. The camp includes demonstrations on knife and tomahawk skills, arrowhead crafting, building fire with a flint and steel, trade goods exhibits, mountain men sharing experiences around the campfire and authentic period music.

Saturday

A potluck reunion for all Martin City Elementary School alumni will be held Saturday, July 24 at 9 a.m. at Kate and John Foley’s home. Please bring a dish to share. For more information, call Don Lietz at 387-9042.

The Fireman’s Breakfast starts at 7 a.m. at Don Anderson Fire Hall Saturday, July 24.

The Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament begins with check-in 7:30 a.m. on First Avenue West on Saturday, July 24. Categories range from fifth to sixth grade boys and girls to men’s and women’s open. Games begin at 8 a.m. Each participant is given a T-shirt and prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.

At 8 a.m., the Boogie-to-the-Bank 5K and 10K Run takes off on the North Fork Road and then finishes at Glacier Discovery Square on Saturday, July 24.

The Heritage Days parade makes its way down Nucleus Avenue starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 24.

Sunday

On Sunday,July 25 the 10th Annual Wildcat Athletic Endowment Golf Scramble starts at Glacier View Golf Course in West Glacier. Tee time begins at 9 a.m.

A community church service starts at 9:30 a.m. at Marantette Park on Sunday, July 25.

The Kalispell Moose Lodge will hold a Mexican Breakfast Sunday, July 25 from 9 a.m. to noon. Proceeds go to the Moose charities.

Monday

The first annual Robin Cox Memorial Weed Roundup is Monday, July 26 at 9:30 a.m. at Sondreson Community Hall north of Polebridge. Weed experts from the Park and Forest Service will be on hand for instruction. The afternoon program starts at 1 p.m. and includes guests from Waterton Park and National Public Radio. Bring gloves and water for weed pulling. Lunch is provided.
