Terry Robert Westphal

Terry Robert Westphal died at home on July 7, 2010 at the age of 64. Born April 18, 1946 in Detroit Lakes, Minn., Terry earned many certificates and diplomas in the fields of aviation, supervision and truck driving. Terry joined the United States Air force in 1963. Terry worked at Columbia Falls Aluminum Company as a maintenance electrician. Later, Terry worked for Gulfstream Aerospace as a service mechanic. He enjoyed flying his airplane for many years. Terry also enjoyed activities such as auto restoration, being a member of the Glacier Street Rod, bartering, antique collecting (marbles), recreation, and talking in general.

Terry is survived by wife Alma Westphal, of Columbia Falls; children Brian Westphal, of Whitefish, Michael Westphal, of Hortonville, Wis., Freda Pomeroy, of Kalispell, Celena Thiel, of Kalispell, Jason Pomeroy, of Lewistown; grandchildren Grace Westphal of, Hortonville, Wis., LeeAsa Pomeroy, Jacob Pomeroy, of Kalispell; parents William and Theresa LaValley, of Columbia Falls; aunts and uncles Paul Hillstead Sr., of Newport, Wash., Tom and Dixie LaValley, of Columbia Falls; brothers and sisters Raymond Westphal and wife Mercy, of Grapevine, Texas, Calvin Westphal and wife Debbie, Kathy Loftis and husband Marvin, of Kalispell, Mark LaValley and wife, of Choteau, in addition to many other unmentioned relatives and friends. Terry was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Idella Jo Westphal in the next step of his journey.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 17,2010 at 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Marantette Park located at Columbia Falls with Pastor Creed Westphal officiating.
