Friends of Bigfork Schools is planning the 2010 Cowabunga Variety Show at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Bigfork

Auditions for the eighth annual variety show will be held after school Tuesday, Jan. 26, and Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts.

Acts can involve music, humor, magic, dance, drama/speech or any other performance ideas participants can muster up.

This year's theme is "Live at the O-COW Corral!" Organizers encourage participants to incorporate this old west theme into their talent acts, though it is not a requirement.

Those auditioning are encourage to have a polished audition performance that is 1 to 3 minutes in length aimed to entertain all ages that will "wow" judges.

Adults, students, children, singles or groups are all welcome to audition.

The final show will have room for 20 to 25 acts and organizers anticipate a large audition turnout.

Entertainers chosen for the show must be available for a dress rehearsal on either April 6 or 7 and all performances April 9, 10 and 11.

Proceeds support the elementary, middle and high schools and youth programs in Bigfork.

Organizers are also seeking volunteers for audition judges available for the sessions. No prior experience is necessary, though it will help if judges have seen prior shows.

Those interested can pick up an audition sign-up sheet at the school office or contact the organizers.
