Fred Thompson edged Dash Kemp at the finish line in the open class at the U.S. Snowboard Association's Inland Northwest boardercross race on Feb. 21 at Whitefish Mountain Resort.

The two were nearly even heading into the final section of banked corners, where Thompson was able to grab a slight lead and hold off Kemp.

In the men's open skiercross, David Fandrich beat out Tim Healy. The men's 19-and-over skiercross featured a competitive field, with Jake Cook taking first over Pete Costain.

Other notable finishes include Ladd Costain winning the 9-and-under skiercross and Parkin Costain taking the 10-12-year-old skiercross.

In the boardercross Jams division, Sarah Silva was the top female and Maring Cameron was the top male. Among Legends aged 40-49, Mark Stegall was first in boardercross.
