Skaters jam on the snow

| February 11, 2010 10:00 PM

The sixth annual Whitefish Winter Carnival Yeti Snowskate Jam was held at Kiddie Park, on Baker Avenue, on Saturday, Feb. 6.

Local skater and event organizer Travis Adams was the winner in the expert category, edging out several X Games competitors. Travis put on a great show for the crowd, landing trick after trick off the stair rail and other park features.

The Carnival Royalty visited the Yeti Jam and knighted two volunteers who worked hard during the past three years to make the event what it is today. Rick Adams was knighted Old Man Weather, as he is responsible for the good weather each year. Tanner Hosek was knighted Tremendous Keeper of the Tie Dye Tradition.
