Hall of Fame class of 2010 to be honored

The 2010 Whitefish High School Hall of Fame induction is slated for Saturday, Feb. 13, when

Andy Cripe, Dave Bauer and Bryan Anderson will be honored.

The ceremony will take place at the high school gym at 6 p.m. before the varsity boys basketball game against Columbia Falls.

A reception with appetizers will be held at the Whitefish Lake Golf Club restaurant following the game.

Bryan Anderson

Bryan Anderson truly excelled in track and field events. In 1997, he brought home Class A state titles in high jump, 300 meter hurdles and the 4-by-400 meter relay.

His success as a Bulldog afforded him a track scholarship to the University of Montana where he became a three-time Big Sky conference champion — winning the outdoor decathlon in 2001 and the indoor and outdoor high jump in 2002.

Anderson competed in the NCAA championships in 2002, finishing in 10th place, and later competed in the 2004 U.S. Indoor Championships in the heptathlon.

Anderson was also a two-year letter winner for the Bulldogs in basketball and made the All-State team in 1997.

Dave Bauer

Dave Bauer has been the unofficial Bulldog bus driver for more than 20 years. It's estimated he's made 500 safe trips in his career — many of which were to state meets and tournaments.

He has been named fan of the year multiple times and is a dedicated Bulldog booster.

Bauer is a coach for the Little Dribblers basketball team and was instrumental in beginning the youth soccer program in Whitefish. He is also a Little League and Babe Ruth League baseball coach. In 1994, he was crowned King Ullr XXXV for the Winter Carnival.

Andrew Cripe

Andrew Cripe won the 1993 Class A tennis singles title for the Bulldogs and was named the MVP for that year.

He earned all-state honors on the hard court three years and won the Montana Tennis Association's Doug Powell Junior Tennis Award in 1991-92.

As a member of the Bulldogs 1990-91 Class A basketball championship team, Cripe made the all-conference team twice and all-state in 1993. He was also the team's MVP in the 1992-93 season.
