Kenneth Joseph Morrison

Kenneth Joseph Morrison died on Dec.1, 2010 at the Montana Veterans Home in Columbia Falls at the age of 86.

Kenneth grew up in Merrill, Wisc., and he joined the U.S. Navy. He served in the Philippines, the Asia Pacific and the European-African-Middle Eastern areas. He married Wilma Jean Frazier in Columbia Falls and together they raised their five children. Kenneth was an iron worker for the local Iron Workers Union. Later he owned and operated with his partners the North Valley Iron Steel, putting up steel buildings and bridges until his retirement.

Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating on “The Party Barge” and getting firewood. After Wilma Jean’s death 1989 he married Ruby Cook. She also preceded him in death in 2004.

Kenneth is survived by his sons, Tom, Richard and Ken; his daughter, Barbara Kline-Beckedahl; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He left three more generations of Kenneth Joseph Morrisons.

He was preceded in death by his seven brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the North Valley Eagles Club in Columbia Falls.
